Pink shows off her amazing abs on the November 2012 issue of Shape magazine. The 33-yr-old out spoken singer who just had a baby girl Willow, 15months ago, opened up to the publication about gaining and loosing weight, the joy of motherhood, her wild past and more. On gaining 55 pounds during her pregnancy: “I ate a lot of cheesecake during those nine months. Also, anything sour; Sour Skittles, Sour Patch Kids, key lime pie.”
On post-baby training with Jillian Michaels and Jeanette Jenkins: “They both kicked my butt more than any other person I’ve worked out with. The’re both amazing, and their bodies were all the inspiration I needed to get back into shape.”
On her happiness as a new mom: “It’s amazing! I’m really, really tired, but I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. It’s just pure joy for Carey and me. Willow has made us more fun — we’re this cool little threesome. Next year we’re taking her on the road and calling it the Willow Tour, because as long as it works for her, I’m there.”
On her wild ways of the past: “I was 9 [when I started smoking]. By the time I turned 12 I was smoking a pack a day. I quit when I got pregnant. and by reading Allen Carr’s Easyway to Stop Smoking. That really worked for me.
On her early club days and drug use: “Yeah, I was into ecstasy, Special K, crystal meth, acid – you name it. But when I was 15, I overdosed at a club. It wasn’t to the point of going to the hospital, but I remember getting up off the floor in the morning-and that was the last time I ever touched a drug again. it was also the day a DJ offered to let me sing on hip-hop night. His only caveat was that I couldn’t do drugs, so I didn’t. That’s the thing with me-once I make up my mind, I’m done.”
On how often she exercise these days: “Now, I’m working exclusively with Jeanette [Jenkins]. I see her five days a week, and we do something different every time-from an interval treadmill routine followed by strength moves to kickboxing and power yoga. I’ve gotten great results.
